Cross is coming… back!
International cyclo-cross racing is set to return to Fayetteville this fall with OZCX and the 2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup weekend of events, October 14-16, 2022!
Building on the legacy of this past January’s 2022 Walmart UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships – be there when the worlds top cyclists return to the purpose-built event venue at Centennial Park for three full days of cyclo-cross action.
New this season, event organizers have a full weekend of professional, amateur, and costume-encouraged participatory events scheduled - with something for the whole family!
Festivities kickoff Friday with a full round of spectator-friendly international cyclo-cross racing for UCI Junior, U23, and Elite men and women – with past World Champions, National Champions, and Olympians expected to compete.
The focus turns to amateur racing on Saturday, with a day of USA Cycling inscripted races for athletes of all ages and abilities. Racing culminates on Sunday with another round of USA Cycling and UCI Junior races – all ahead of the 2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Elite Men and Women races.
Not to be left out, the OZCX weekend features some wacky and wild community focused events including costumed Street Sprints on Friday evening, an OZCX Kids Cross event Saturday morning for ages 2-11, and the OZCX Walmart Corporate and Community Relays on Saturday evening – all for a great cause!
The OZCX weekend is being produced with a charitable purpose - spotlighting the healthcare needs of area children by raising awareness and meaningful fundraising opportunities for Arkansas Children’s Northwest, the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
A portion of revenue generated from the OZCX and UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – Fayetteville weekend will directly benefit Arkansas Children’s Northwest.
